When
was the last time you reviewed your protection portfolio?
What would happen if you became too ill to work due
to an illness or disability? If you were to die prematurely,
what impact would this have on your family or dependants?
Would they still be able to maintain their current
lifestyle if you were not around?
We
have the right solution for you
Income
Protection Insurance
For most of us, our income funds everything. If it
ceases, everything else stops, so how do you ensure
its continuation? Income protection insurance pays
out a regular sum if you are unable to work because
of sickness, accident or disability. Depending on
the provider, you can replace a varying limit as a
percentage of your salary, less any State benefits
and cover provided by your employer. The payments
are paid tax-free and commence after a period that
you specify. You can also decide whether, in the event
of a claim, you require the benefit payment to remain
level or to escalate annually.
Critical Illness Protection
Critical illness protection pays out on the diagnosis
of certain specified critical illnesses and can include
permanent disabilities. The illnesses covered vary
from policy to policy, but they usually include these
core conditions: cancer, heart attack/coronary bypass
surgery, kidney failure, major organ transplant, multiple
sclerosis and stroke. After a specified period following
your diagnosis, you would receive a tax-free lump
sum payment. This could be used to repay your outstanding
mortgage and other debts, and assist with day-to-day
financial commitments.
Life Assurance Protection
It’s not a particularly pleasant thought planning
for your premature death. However, if you have dependants,
it’s essential. We can advise you on the level
of cover that you need based on your current situation,
whether to provide a future income, protect an asset
or cover a loan. Otherwise who will be left to pay
the bills?
Private Medical Insurance
This insurance can give you immediate access to the
hospital treatment you require. The types of illnesses
and treatments covered vary. Most basic policies will
cover you for so-called ‘non-urgent’ cases,
such as hip replacement, varicose veins and cataract
removal. Comprehensive plans cover most forms of treatment
that you are likely to need, including consultations
and physiotherapy.
